Cool verse

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Sleepy but content...

Yes, it has been a long time since I last posted anything on here. It has been an intense year. College and work are keeping me very busy. Thus, the sleepiness. Stayed up late to work on an assignment. Actually, it was fun to write. Got to read lots about New Testament history.

Anyway, I don't have a great deal to write, it just occurred to me that it is a long time since I have posted.

Might write more soon. Maybe.

Whew...

Ok, I just tried to comment on someone else's blog, and tried to log in, and couldn't. Apparently my password was wrong. So I tried again, with a different password. Still nothing. So I went to the blogger page that resets passwords, and typed in my username. I was told I would soon receive an email with steps to reaccess my account (or something to that effect) So I waited, and yet no such email landed in my inbox. So, I tried entering my email address at the password reset page. Blogger couldn't find an account linked to my email address. Starting to worry that I had lost my account somehow (but really, why would anyone want to steal my blog? That's just nonsense! Why even bring it up? Hey, that's right, we're supposed to sing about...ok ok, enough already), I checked another random email account I rarely use...and my blogger email was sitting there. So, in the end, all that happened was that I'd used a different email account to sign up, and forgotten my password. Relieved now. Password successfully changed...hopefully I'll remember it. Though my new computer should remember it for me - which was the source of the problem to begin with. See, having gained a new computer, my passwords weren't yet saved, like they are on my old one. On my old one I never needed to remember passwords. So, there you go. That was my minor drama of the evening.

Sleepy...

Why is it that some days are great, some days are terrible, and some days you feel like you've experienced just about every possible emotion in the course of 24 hours?

Anyways.

I'm going to get driving lessons. I'm a bit nervous - so far Andrew has been teaching me to drive, but that's about to change. So tomorrow I'm going to call and organise that. I'm also (maybe) going to make some phone calls and try and find a singing teacher. It's a long time since I've had lessons, but I think I'm going to start again.

Anyways.

That's about all I have to write.

Lonely...

My msn is currently not working. So, I can't talk to anyone and I'm feeling lonely. So you might all have to comment to cheer me up!

Cold...

Today is cold. I am enjoying being indoors out of the cold. I am a little bored though.

Oh well.

Presentation

Ok, so I just talked through my presentation, and it came in under 10 minutes. So I don't think I need to cut anything. Yay! Now I just need to make sure the content is good enough. Time to head back to the commentaries...

Procrastinating

Should currently be working on presentation for college tonight. Not 100% why I'm not, but I think it has something to do with being incredibly sleepy. Have walked up to shops three times so far today - thought getting out of the house might clear my head and prepare me to do lots of work. It hasn't. Need to get it done soon though. Ok, so it's written, but I need to practise speaking it and make sure it makes sense. Oh, and I think I need to cut it a little too - I think it's going to be too long.

Oh well. Must get back to work.

My day

I' ve had a very good day today. I went in to uni with a friend (yes I know I've finished uni, but I was visiting) and went along to the CU talk, which was great. Then spent some time catching up with uni friends, which was very cool. Then this evening we went along to a uni BBQ thing - lots of fun, but I got tired very early, so we came home. It was nice to get out of the house and actually feel healthy (sortof) again. Made me feel a bit more normal anyway!

Ange - sorry I missed your message today, I was out (msn probably didn't say I was away - it never does, for some reason). I hope we can chat soon!!

Health

I'm feeling well tonight. Relatively speaking, anyway. I still feel sick, but I also feel...peaceful. And very determined to get well again. And soon!!

Tag...

I give up on finding people to tag. If you want to be tagged, consider yourself tagged.

Tagging

I got tagged by TMac (and also Andrew, in a way, but I hadn't answered my original tag yet so I'm deciding this answers both), so here goes (if you get tagged you have to fill it in and then tag four more people):

  • Babysitter

Four movies I can watch over and over

  • Beauty and the Beast

  • Much Ado About Nothing
  • The Princess Bride

Four places I've lived

  • Alias

Four places I've been

help!

I need suggestions on who to tag! I've only just discovered that I got tagged earlier in the week, and I think everyone has been tagged by now...

So it would be helpful to know who actually reads my blog, for a start...

Visitors

Hi all! The last couple of days have been really nice. A friend from uni came to visit me yesterday afternoon, and we sat and chatted for a while, and read the bible together - it was really good. And she brought round some food for us, which we really appreciated - we had it for lunch today and it was yummy! And then this evening we had more friends from uni around - they came for dinner. They cooked for us, which was really lovely. It was nice to have people around. I really appreciate the company!! But yeah, I've enjoyed the last couple of days. I'm a bit unwell again tonight, but that's ok - it's not too bad, just feel a little funny.

It's funny how easy it is to lose contact with people - having left uni, it gets harder and harder to keep in regular contact, and I really miss the social aspect of uni.

Anyways, just thought I'd share my thoughts.

Craft

I have a new hobby - card making. I bought stuff today to start it - some stickers and pens. I'm looking forward to making some cards!!

Bored...

Sitting at home doing nothing is REALLY BORING!!! I'm considering getting off the couch to tidy the house. Oh, and there's absolutely nothing good on tv. All my usual daytime tv shows (repeats of old shows) aren't on this week. Not happy! In other (happier) news, a couple of my ebay purchases arrived today. Yay! Very happy.

Oh, and if you'd like me to add a link to your blog here, just say so - I've decided to only add people who let me know that they're happy for me to do so. So let me know!

Surgery...

Hi all! Just letting those out there who read my blog know that I am feeling quite well after my thyroid surgery. My neck is still quite stiff, and I have a bit of a headache, probably from holding my neck so still, but other than that I am feeling good.

Editing

I just went to edit a post, and it disappeared. Oops. Oh well. Main point of the post was that the sunsets on the coast are pretty. :-)

Templates again...

I like this template. Enough to keep it for the moment, anyway.

Templates

I'm trying to find a template that I like. Unfortunately, every time I change, I have to put in the links down the side again. And I've changed a few times so far. What I'm noticing, though, is that all the templates I've looked at and liked enough to try have been green. I guess that's my favourite colour at the moment. :-)

As I type, I'm finding it a little frustrating that one of my fingernails is too long, and so I keep hitting the keys with my nail rather than my fingertip. Frustrating, because it doesn't seem particularly accurate. Oh well.

Andrew's blog

Ok, I'm adding more links at the side - including Andrew's current blog. I'll leave his old one up as well, but he won't be posting there anymore.

My Blog

As you can see, my blog has a space down the side for links. So far I really only have a link to Andrew's blog (the other links were already there). Any suggestions of what else to add?

The Producers

Andrew and I saw The Producers at the movies. It's really good! It's very funny, and the songs are great. We really enjoyed it.

Air conditioner remote...

As you may have guessed from Andrew's comments on my last post, we lost the remote for our air conditioner. As it is impossible to turn the air con on without it, this was a bit of a problem when we came home today after being away, and found our house to be incredibly hot and stuffy, with no way to cool it down. We searched everywhere for the remote, and finally gave up and went shopping, since we were hungry for lunch anyway, as it was past 2pm, and the shops are air conditioned. We searched again when we came home tonight after being out for dinner, and still couldn't find it, despite looking everywhere, even in the pantry (yes I know it sounds like an odd place, but we were running out of places to look!!). After we'd both sat down and read blogs for a while, Andrew decided to look for it again. This time, he moved something that was sitting on the couch we were on (something that I was certain I had moved before!!) and found it sitting there, on the couch, hidden. But not really hidden so well as to justify the amount of time we spent looking. But at least we have our remote, and can cool our house down again.

Bored...

I'm a little bored. And I have a headache. Ouch. I'm hoping it will go away soon, because Andrew is taking me to the movies this afternoon. I'm looking forward to getting out of the house. I've been very bored today. There are things I could be doing, I guess, like the laundry...but although that would give me something to occupy my time, it wouldn't make me any less bored. Oh well. Maybe I could be putting wedding photos in frames...I got a new frame and album for my birthday. The frame's cool, it's doublesided and it spins. So far I only have one photo in it, one of Andrew and me, but not a wedding photo. So I could put the wedding photos in that. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow. Maybe.
